Right behind Lakeridge health amongst the hustle and bustle of Downtown Oshawa there is a hidden gem of a Venue, Oshawa Golf and Curling Club. When I walked in I was truly blown away. I did not expect a golf course of the size to be hidden in the middle of Oshawa surrounded mostly by residential properties.
The grounds and the venue are simply gorgeous and provided for a phenomenal backdrop to Julia and Kevin's wedding.
To backtrack, I actually met Julia before she and Kevin got engaged. I was shooting Marcia and Randy's (Kevin dad's) engagement at Lakeview Park and she came out watch and help with Aiden (Marcia and Randy's child). Funny enough, Randy's getting ready photos also took place at Julia and Kevin's house, so I was already over at their place prior to the wedding day, wild.
Shortly after Kevin proposed to Julia with the help of their fur babies they contacted me to shoot their wedding, I was ecstatic, I took a photo of them at Marcia and Randy's wedding and just knew they were going to end up together!
The wedding day was just perfect, the weather was warm but not hot and those warm fall tones just started coming. Because the wedding took place in late September we did the couple photos shortly after the ceremony went into the reception and came back out for sunset photos about 30 minutes later. It was definitely worth as the sun setting over the tree line created a beautiful and subtle back glow.
It was a gorgeous wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it, to reconnect with people that i've met before and to share a table with one of my past wedding couples (Marcia and Randy). P.s. I still haven't been to a Halloween themed wedding that topped theirs!
