Devon & Phil

Devon and Phil found me through their friends Amanda and Shaun, who's wedding I shot at Sue Anne Staff Winery near Niagara on the Lake. Both Devon and Phil were big parts of Amanda and Shaun's wedding, Phil was the MC and Devon was a bridesmaid, so I got to spend quite a bit of time with both of them. Throw in an engagement shoot in the middle and by the time their wedding rolled around, I felt like I was just spending time with old friends - totally awesome.

We all know that weather in Canada is super unpredictable and that the forecast can change multiple times leading up to a day. On my drive down to Burlington it felt like a proper summer's day with the sun out and the humidex up. Things started to change when I got to Crosswind Golf Course. The clouds started rolling in the weather started to change.

Devon and Phil planned to do a first look and get the majority of the photos done prior to the ceremony. After an emotional first look we got the bridal party photos and a good number of couple photos done. Throughout the ceremony more clouds were rolling in, we managed to squeeze all of the family photos in as well as some more bridal portraits at the other end of the golf course. As we wrapped up it started to pour.

Luckily the gorgeous hall and wild party made everyone forget that it was raining outside and the rain stopped just in time for Devon and Phil to do a sparkler exit out of the venue!
