Emily and Jeremy knocked their engagement shoot out of the park with their Trent University idea, since then Trent became one of my favourite spots in the Peterborough Area for Engagement shoots.
Like many other couples Emily and Jeremy had to make the difficult decision of whether to completely postpone their wedding or to downsize and keep the date. Emily and Jeremy decided to get married on their original wedding date but that also meant that the formal reception that they were planning had to be moved to a different year.
The plan was to start the shoot at the ceremony at St. John the Baptist Church, move on to Burlington Village square for photos and wrap up with a few sunset shots by the lakeshore. On my drive to and throughout the entire ceremony it looked as if it would start pouring rain at any moment. As luck would have it, it started raining as soon as we started heading out to Burlington Village Square. I came prepared with 10 clear and 10 white umbrellas ready to shoot in the rain. However, once we settled in and walked over to the spot where we were to start the shoot the rain stopped.
I really enjoyed shooting at the Square, it's very unique and reminds me of a cross between the Distillery District and a quaint Main St. Enjoy the photos below!
