When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. This couldn’t be more true for Sep and Makan as this was their 3rd time rescheduling their wedding day. This final attempt was not simple, from getting the guest count downsized even more to a vendor backing out at the last moment, this was a roller coaster. But the end result, wow, just wow! I could not picture a more perfect, intimate wedding.
We've been friends with Makan forever, since University and for as long as I can remember there was no Makan without Sep. Our daughter was even supposed to be Sep and Makan's flower girl. Unfortunately the pandemic threw a wrench in all of our plans. I always check in with my couples and I hear about the challenges that they have had planning and re-planning during the pandemic but with Sep & Makan we got to hear the full story. All I have to say is wow, I can't fathom how much stress couples have been under. That being said, I'm so glad Sep and Makan were able to tie the knot and not have to reschedule for the 4th time. In my opinion, their backyard wedding looked every bit as classy and maybe even better than the ballroom wedding that they had planned before.
I couldn’t be happier for these two and was very honoured that they chose me to photograph their big day!
