One of the coolest aspects of being a wedding photographer is that you get to know different people and be a part of one of their most intimate days.
Everyone does weddings differently and no two weddings are the same. Everyone caters their day to suit their personal wants and needs.
Alex and Kevin wanted a small and intimate wedding with a handful of close friends and family to celebrate their big day. The ceremony took place at Whitby Council Chambers and because it was a nice sunny day it meant that the ceremony could take place outside in the garden.
After a quick ceremony and a brief round of family photos we headed to the Whitby Marina and lakeshore for some photos. No surprise, because it was early afternoon in August it was extremely hot.
About halfway through the session we decided to call it quits with the outdoors and try a local brewery as our indoor photo location. The newly built Town Brewery is one of Alex and Kevin's favourites and turned out to be the perfect backdrop for the rest of the shoot.
Even though we didn't give the staff a heads up they were super accommodating and allowed us to shoot throughout the accessible parts of the brewery. The lighting, colours and decor were absolutely perfect and it ended up being a great way to end a fantastic shoot.
